Sunderkand, sung in your home
We are a group of devotee musicians who come to your home and recite the full Sunderkand for Hanuman ji, with harmonium, music and kirtan. Every week, free of charge.
About the Mandal
A devotional seva that began in 2020
Sunderkand Mandal Finchley started in 2020 as a small group gathering to recite Sunderkand together. It has grown into a weekly seva: we bring the murti, the instruments and the sound setup to families' homes across London, and recite the Sunderkand with them.
Families invite us for a new home, a birthday, an anniversary, in memory of a loved one, or simply to fill the house with Hanuman ji's name. Every paath is also streamed live on our YouTube channel, so relatives anywhere in the world can join in.
॥ श्री हनुमते नमः ॥
Sunderkand is the fifth kand of Goswami Tulsidas's Shri Ramcharitmanas. It tells of Hanuman ji's leap across the ocean to Lanka, his meeting with Sita Mata, and his return to Shri Ram with her message. It is recited for courage, protection and the removal of obstacles.
Hanuman ji is remembered as Sankat Mochan, the remover of troubles.Book a paath
